Paediatric Occupational Therapist
If you have a variety of Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience and enjoy being part of a dynamic, experienced team, working closely with colleagues in Behaviour Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Community Paediatricians and Educationalists, then feel free to contact us to see if we have an available position for you.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and relevant experience. A knowledge of Paediatric mental health conditions, eating disorders, neurology, developmental delay, oncology and complex needs would be beneficial. They will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Being able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of the therapy and wider MDTs; including supporting others during rotations. Being an effective deputy for the team, and able to show flexibility to working demands. To be able to show initiative and motivation to work with the rest of the team to develop the service further.
In return, as a result of our development of the service, has provided a brilliant opportunity for you, a dynamic and motivated therapist, to deliver high quality Paediatric Occupational Therapy within our established multidisciplinary team, to contribute to service development and to grow as an individual professional, whilst being exposed to leading experts.
Paediatric Occupational Therapist main role and responsibilities are:

To autonomously take on a caseload of a minimum of 20 regular weekly clients and to have overall responsibility in achieving set goals and targets as established from assessment.

To provide home and school recommendations and intervention, to support children in other environments where necessary.

To communicate therapy plan and progress to parents and professionals.

To conduct online therapy for clients that cannot attend the clinic.

Working collaboratively with existing team - including Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Education and Administration.

To be part of the strategic development of therapeutic services across group as part of the multi-disciplinary meetings.
